Scarlett Johansson has joined Natalie Portman and Eric Bana for The Other Boleyn Girl. The film is based on Philippa Gregory's historical novel, with Johansson and Garden State star Portman playing two fiercely ambitious sisters, Mary and Ann Boleyn, who were rivals for the heart of 16th century British monarch King Henry VIII, played by Munich actor Bana. Executives from BBC Films, which originally acquired the book rights and made a 2003 TV film starring Natascha McElhone and Jared Harris, are also producing the project. Filming is scheduled to begin this autumn in London, with Justin Chadwick slated to direct.

Macaulay Culkin and his girlfriend, That 70s Show actress Mila Kunis, narrowly escaped from Israel after their vacation was ruined by rocket fire from Lebanon. The couple were enjoying a relaxing holiday when rocket fire hit the Israeli town of Haifa, where the couple was staying. Culkin insisted the pair immediately leave the country, but Kunis was reluctant to end her holiday early, telling the Jerusalem Post, "He's a drama queen." The couple eventually decided to return to the US and Culkin told a flight attendant on their plane that wasn't the only problem the couple encountered on the trip. He said, "We went to the beach, and there were tons of jellyfish - so we figured that even the sea was dangerous."
Pamela Anderson and on-again, off-again fiance Kid Rock are set to tie the knot later this month in St. Tropez, France. The former Baywatch star posted a message on her website on Tuesday, revealing the details behind the whirlwind wedding. Anderson's representative confirmed to American publication Us Weekly, "They've been close for a very long time and decided that now is the right time to take the next step. They couldn't be happier about their future together." Anderson and Kid Rock, real name Robert James Richie, will wed on July 29 aboard a yacht near the posh French Riviera town. In a statement on her web site she says, "Yes. I'm finally getting remarried... it's been a whirlwind... spontaneous, but well thought through. Feels like I've been stuck in a time warp. Not able to let go of my family picture... it's been sad and lonely and frustrating... I've raised my kids alone in hope of a miracle. Well my miracle came and went. And came back and came back because he knew that I'd wake up one day and realise that I was waiting for nothing. I'm moving on... I feel like I'm finally free... I'm in love. I'm happy... I see the light... sounds dramatic but it's true.. I know some women can relate to this. My children are getting older. They know the truth and they are strong, smart kids. They love their Dad. The latest James Bond film, Casino Royale isn't released untill November, but that hasn't stopped the franchise's producers planning its sequel already. While Daniel Craig will play the lead once again, Roger Michell, director of Notting Hill and The Mother, is in talks over the next film, the working title of which is Bond 22. Unlike the other Bond films, this instalment will be based on an idea by producer Michael Wilson, rather than one of the original Ian Fleming novels.
A Dubai aerospace company is planning to create a superfast airport that will revolutionise air travel. The new airports will feature tracers and communication systems to sense arriving passengers, track them and their luggage through lines and onto their flights, making the bottleneck of check-in lines a thing of the past. Speaking at the Farnborough International Airshow, Bob Johnson, the new Chief Executive of Dubai's well-funded airport company, said that the airports of today were "designed for a different time" and that he hoped to revolutionise air travel by building "passenger friendly" airports.

Scientists at Hewlett Packard have created a data chip the size of a grain of rice that will change the world. The chip could be used to add sound to photographs, holiday movies to postcards or allow a wristband to carry its patient's full medical records. The tiny chip can also communicate wirelessly with a mobile phone, computer or digital camera. Each chip, which contains a modem, antennae, microprocessor and memory, is estimated to cost less than a dollar when it goes into production.

Oprah Winfrey has hit back at ongoing reports she's gay by insisting she would have already told fans if the rumors were true. The media mogul has often been linked romantically with best friend and business partner Gayle King, but both claim they wouldn't have kept an affair secret. In the August issue of Winfrey's lifestyle magazine O, the Oprah Magazine, the talk show accepts that some people misunderstand her close friendship with King, but insists they are not a lesbian couple. She says, "I understand why people think we're gay. There isn't a definition in our culture for this kind of bond between women. So I get why people have to label it: 'How can you be this close without it being sexual?'" King adds, "The truth is, if we were gay, we would tell you, because there's nothing wrong with being gay." In the article, Winfrey and King chat about their 30-year friendship, admitting they often speak four times a day on the phone when they're not in the same city. Winfrey states, "Something about this relationship feels otherworldly to me, like it was designed by a power and a hand greater than my own. Whatever this friendship is, it's been a very fun ride."
