Patrick Dempsey is desperately trying to adjust to his new life now that he has welcomed twin boys with wife Jillian Fink. The couple have a five-year-old daughter, Talula, but Dempsey admits he needed to be reminded how to look after infants. Fink says, "I think sometimes he forgets that when babies are first born, they don't have any neck muscles and I'm like, 'Whoa! Baby head wobbling down to your feet!'" Despite all the medical knowledge his character Dr. Derek Shepherd has on the show, Dempsey says being in the operating room cutting the cords after the delivery "was a bit surreal." Twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen were born on February 1 and Dempsey claims he's also had to learn a new procedure when it comes to diaper duty for boys. He adds, "That's a whole different technique!"
After a rash of publicity about the dangers of allowing dogs to become excessively fat, a drug called Yarvitan has been launched that is designed to make them lost half a stone in a month. It costs £50 for an eight-week course of treatment and has to be prescribed by a vet. Its makers claim that it can increase a dog's life expectancy by eighteen months and can reduce the chances of it developing arthritis. However, they also pointed out that dogs need exercise and should not be overfed.
