Doutzen Kroes (Pronounced Doubt-son Crows) (born January 23, 1985, Oostermeer) is a model from the Netherlands.

Kroes was born in the town of Oostermeer, the Netherlands. After graduating highschool (HAVO) she sent some snapshots to model agency Paparazzi in Amsterdam. Currently she is signed by DNA Models.^[1] Kroes has made the covers of Time, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and Numero. She also appears regularly in the Victoria's Secret catalog and was featured in their fashion show in 2005 and 2006. Kroes has also been in campaigns by Gucci, Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Escada, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Versace and Neiman Marcus.

In 2005, Kroes was selected as Model of The Year on Vogue.com by readers. Kroes was named spokesmodel for the Calvin Klein "Eternity" fragrance campaign in August 2005, replacing American actress Scarlett Johansson, and, in April 2006, she signed a three-year contract with L'Oréal Paris. Kroes can currently be seen in the company's commercials alongside Eva Longoria and Kerry Washington.

In the May 2007 issue of American Vogue, Kroes was featured on the cover with fellow models Hilary Rhoda, Caroline Trentini, Raquel Zimmermann, Sasha Pivovarova, Agyness Deyn, Coco Rocha, Jessica Stam, Chanel Iman, and Lily Donaldson as the new crop of supermodels. Along with several of these new supermodels, she modelled for the 2008 Pirelli Calendar. Her pictures grace the month of March. Donaldson is May; Deyn, June; Rocha, July and August; Pivovarova, September and Trentini, December.

In July 2007, earning at an estimated total of $1.5 million in the past twelve months, Forbes named Kroes fourteenth in the list of the World's 15 Top-Earning Supermodels.^[2] In April 2008, she soared to the fifth position, with an estimated income of $6 million.^[3]

Kroes also is in the official Frisian provincial campaign for the West Frisian language which is her mother tongue.^[4]

In 2006, Omrop Fryslân made a documentary about Kroes. Piter Claus follows Kroes during the fashion week in Milan. The documentary won a NL-Award for best regional documentary.

Victoria's Secret recently confirmed to People Magazine that Doutzen is the newest Victoria's Secret Angel.^[5]. Her first campaign as the brand's newest angel is Supermodel Obsession, alongside Adriana Lima, and it can be currently seen on Victoria's Secret site,
