Izabella Anna Mikołajczak (born January 21, 1981), better known as Izabella Miko, is a Polish actress and model.

Miko was born in Łódź, Poland to Grażyna Dyląg and Aleksander Mikołajczak, both of whom are actors. She grew up in Warsaw, where she studied to be a ballerina. An American choreographer invited her to study in New York City on a scholarship, and she traveled there with her mother on her 15th birthday.

Miko's film roles include Coyote Ugly (2000), The Forsaken (2001), Park (2006), The House of Usher (2006) and Save the Last Dance 2 (2006). In addition, she appeared in 3 episodes of HBO's Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning Deadwood, and as a dancer in The Killers' video for Mr Brightside.

Miko was ranked #48 on Maxim's Hot 100 Women of 2001 list.[1]

  • The Pianist (2002) (Dorota) - Was considered for the part of Dorota's role, however after all director Roman Polanski recognised that she was too old. Emilia Fox, who is even older, was the final choice.
  • The Dukes of Hazzard (2005) (Daisy Duke) - Was considered for the role of Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). That role eventually went to Jessica Simpson.
  • Everybody's Fine (2009) - She participated in a screen test for the role of Robert De Niro's daughter, however lost to Drew Barrymore.
  • Basic Instinct 2 (2006) (Michelle Broadwin) - Turned down the role of Michelle Broadwin.
  • It's All About Love (2003) (Elena Marczewska) - Was considered for the part of Elena.
  • Ghost World (2001) (Rebecca) - Was originally slated to play the lead in Ghost World (2001) but by the time it was filmed she was too old for the part.
